Discover our Venus of Renancourt replica, inspired by one of the remarkable female figurines of Gravettian Paleolithic art discovered at Amiens-Renancourt, France.
Dating to the Upper Paleolithic, approximately 28,000–22,000 years ago, the Venus of Renancourt belongs to the tradition of prehistoric female figurines commonly known as Paleolithic Venus figurines.
The original artifact represented by this model measures approximately 4 cm (1.57 in) in height. Our reproduction has been enlarged to approximately 2.5:1 scale, reaching 10 cm (3.94 in) and making its characteristic proportions, incised details and sculptural volumes much easier to appreciate.
This replica originates from a master model individually sculpted by hand exclusively for Post Mortem Cult. Each piece is cast in acrylic resin and individually hand-finished in our workshop using layered ivory, beige and ochre tones, with darker pigments applied to recesses and surface irregularities to enhance its archaeological character.
The result is a distinctive prehistoric art replica suitable for display, archaeological and educational collections, museums, universities, collectors and cabinets of curiosities.
